Kareena Kapoor, Katrina Kaif earn Rs 1 cr a day!

Bollywood divas Sridevi, Madhuri Dixit, Juhi Chawla, Karisma Kapoor and Kajol once ruled the hearts of millions, but needed to struggle for a comeback post motherhood. And with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan joining the league of these lovely mothers, the tinsel town probably expected a repetition of history.

However, at a time when the media was churning out stories on the actress’ weight issues, Aishwarya Rai made a bigger headline by bagging an endorsement deal of a whopping Rs 20 crore!

According to reports, Rai has replaced the former Miss Universe Susmita Sen as the brand ambassador for Kalyan Jewellers. Kalyan, which entered into the field of jewellery retail in 1993, will soon sign a 24-month agreement with Aishwarya Rai for which she shall be paid as much as Rs 10 crore per year.

Rai, who was replaced by Katrina Kaif as the brand ambassador for Nakshatra Diamonds on the grounds of fresh look, is still considered to be the most elite and glamourous actress. Reports state that in addition with Rai’s indubitable beauty, her global fan following and admiration played a significant role behind the Rs 20 crore deal.

Kareena Kapoor: Bebo is said to have signed an endorsement deal of Rs 5 crore with a lemonade brand. The light-eyed actress already endorses 15 brands, including Coca-Cola, Head & Shoulders, Sony VAIO X and Boro Plus. The actress is reported to have charged Rs 1 – 1.25 crore per day!

Katrina Kaif: The actress, who replaced Aishwarya Rai as the ambassador for Nakshatra Diamonds, charges Rs 4-4.5 crore for endorsements. Some of the brands Kaif endorses are Slice, Nakshatra Diamonds, Godrej, Pantene, Olay, Veet and the latest Titan watch. Like Kareena Kapoor, Kaif is also said to charge Rs 1-1.25 crore per day.

Priyanka Chopra: Yet another former Miss World, Chopra was recently in news for bagging as much as Rs 9 crore for her role in the remake of of the movie ‘Zanjeer’. The actress, who is the face for brands like Sunsilk, Tag Heuer, Asmi Jewellery, Ponds and Nokia, charges an endorsement fee of Rs 65-75 lakh per day.

Genelia D’ Souza: There was a time when this actress was promoting more brands than any of the B-town ladies. According to reports, Genelia D’Souza mints around Rs 1.25 cr from her endorsement deals. The brands that D’Souza endorses are Fanta, Fast Track, Spinz Talc, LG Mobiles and Garnier.

Sonam Kapoor: This fashion diva does not endorse as many products as her other female colleagues. However, even with just three brands in her kitty, Sonam Kapoor makes as much as Rs 3 crore from her endorsements. Kapoor is brand ambassador for Spice Mobile, Parker and the latest being L’Oreal.
